Security and privacy
Uploading an unpublished manuscript or a client contract to an online service raises specific questions: where does it sit, how long does it stay, who can reach it, and can I delete it when I want to. This page answers those; the privacy policy is authoritative on the full terms.
Transport and access
- HTTPS throughout, so traffic between your browser and the server is encrypted.
- The site returns baseline security headers including x-frame-options, x-content-type-options and referrer-policy.
- Files and jobs are tied to your account, and History shows only the jobs you started.
- The Zotero plugin authorises through your browser rather than taking a password, and the credential stays in local Zotero preferences.
Retention and deletion
Uploaded originals and produced translations have a retention period, whose length depends on your plan — 7 days on Free, 30 on Research and 60 on Professional; see the entitlement comparison on the pricing page. Once that period ends the file is cleared and cannot be recovered, which is what the 'retention period lapsed' message refers to.
To delete sooner, or to access or correct your data, email support@geyi.net. The privacy policy commits to answering within 30 days.
Who operates the service
Geyi is operated by Nayuta Technology and Culture Company Limited (九陔科技文化有限公司), registered in Hong Kong, with its company site at www.nayuta.cloud. The terms of service, privacy policy and auto-renewal agreement are all published in full and readable without an account.
